Where is the Love Thunder Bay?

I have recently joined a facebook group called "You Know You're From Thunder Bay When...." Seeing as I am from Thunder Bay, I joined the group. After browsing through the many posts from the 2514 members in the group, I came to notice that some of these posts were actually funny whereas some were not so funny. Of course the funny posts were ones that are so true about our city and that many of us can relate to. Comments about the cold weather, the persian, the invisible s added to the end of Safeway, and the Hoito, etc. were ones that only Thunder Bay people could understand. Although these comments are harmless, I came to notice many mean racist comments about our city and the people within it. After reading these hateful comments, I came to ask myself "Where is the Love Thunder Bay?" This question/title of my blog reminded me of the Black Eyed Peas song which was popular many years ago, "Where is the Love?" Below, I have displayed some of the lyrics of the song particularly because it refers to the racism and discrimination in the world.
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And if you hatin you're bound to get irate
Yeah madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
You gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love y'all

This song can really make a person think because it outlines the many problems/issues in the world today and not just in Thunder Bay. To view the rest of the lyrics, click on the following link http://www.lyrics007.com/Black%20Eyed%20Peas%20Lyrics/Where%20Is%20The%20Love%20Lyrics.html

Ps. As I sit here blogging and watching the Grammy Awards, The Black Eyed Peas are performing.
